The Peepal Tree Project
The Vision to counter deforestation by planting a Peepal Tree in the memory of the forefathers.
Envisioned by Sri Rajkumar Dubey, an ex - officer of the forest department.
Sri Rajkumar Dubey has come up with a unique idea to solve this ongoing rapid deforestation by planting one seed (plant) at a time in the memory of one's ancestors.
Every year people are encouraged to plant Peepal tree as an everlasting memoir of their forefathers on the occasion of Pitripaksh especially.
This project runs on generous donations from the family members of the heavenly souls that's used to provide an iron gabion and regular look after until the tree is grown up completely.
Whereabouts of the planted trees are shared with the families at times on regular basis.
With its long life , rapid growth and sustainability the Peepal Tree ( Ficus Religiosa ) is the best option to regenerate soil life, grow greenery and develop a major plant ecosystem.
